Chili con Carne

- 1 and 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 16 ounce can of tomatoes, cut up
- 1 16 ounce can red kidney beans, drained
- 1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
In a large sauce pan cook the ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until the meat has browned. Drain off the fat.
Stir in the undrained tomatoes, drained kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chili powder. Bring the mixture to a boil, and then
reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and allow to simmer for at least 20 minutes.
